Are you starving, but don't know what to do because its late and all
the restaurants are closed? Are you too tired, too busy, or just too plain lazy
to cook something for yourself? Have no fear. You have been taken care of. Below
is a list of all the late-night eating establishments in the Austin area that I
am aware of.
A couple of quick notes on this list:
- For the purposes of this listing, a "late night establishment" is one that
regularly stays open past 10:00pm. (I have tried not to include places that
are open until 10:30pm or 11:00pm a couple nights a week.)
- I have not included eating establishments on the 6th street club section
since their purpose is mainly to feed people who are already on 6th street for
reasons other than nourishment.
- In the case of pubs, I have tried to list just the hours during which the
kitchen is open, not all of the hours that the bar is open.
- I have not listed the locations of the chain restaurants of which there
are more than five in the Austin area. Including all of them makes this list
way too long, and, besides, I figure that they are so numerous (There were
around 50 Subways in Austin at last count.) that if you can't find at least
one, you need more help than this page can provide.
